Pastor Rob uses Moses as an example of how his encounter with God changed Moses and Moses was used to change those around him. This first in a series sermon is meant to challenge us and to actively seek an encounter with God. We should seek God with expectancy and regularity but not take offense with His timing. Gos often uses attention grabbing events to alert you to an encounter. He may use dreams, ideas, scripture or even painful events to alert you to an encounter and we have to be attentive so as not to ignore the sign - or in Moses’ case, the burning bush. Encounters are for our benefit but about God. He reveals Himself to us and leave us different so that we can make a change in us and in others.
God ofter encounters us where our passions overlap His. God ofter leave us with a Kingdom assignment after an encounter for us to accept.
